Feedback: stop, start, continue, love shower

Description

We’ve said it many times, and we’re saying it again: Feedback is a gift! 🎁

It offers individuals a chance to grow both personally and professionally. It increases self-awareness and decreases any blind spots you might have, minimising the chance of assumptions, misunderstandings and crossed wires getting in the way of team communication. 🙌🚀 #awesomeness

The value and importance of feedback is not new news. Each company and team have their preferred way of giving feedback, and honour and practice getting this right. This one if amongst our favourites as it’s straightforward and works just as good online as it does offline. Plus, we have tweaked by adding a “love shower”. Read more below.

Instructions

1. Online: place a picture of yourself on an empty online whiteboard (check out our MURAL template)
Offline: write your name on a flipchart paper hanging on the wall).

2. Select 4 different colours of post-its for:

- I want you to stop doing...

- I want you to start doing...

- I want you to continue doing...

- Love shower (a compliment)

3. Let everyone add post-its around the picture of each person filling in the different categories. Make sure everyone fills in every category for each team member.

4. Take time to read through the post-its you received. Check if everything is clear and share some things that stand out to you.

Materials // Remarks

-Offline: flipchart paper, tape (to hang up flipcharts), sticky notes (4 different colours), markers

-Online: online whiteboard
